Next week my colleague, BRI’s animal nutritionist, Dr. Patrick Biggs, and I will be traveling to Hyderabad, India to attend the highly anticipated Poultry India 2014 show. This year marks the 8th edition of the marquee industry event in the South Asia region. This event attracts a wide variety of industry thought leaders, including feed equipment manufacturers, technology providers, breeders, egg farmers, poultry nutritionists, animal health consultants and poultry producers. Knowledge Day, a day of technical seminar before the event, is a great opportunity to hear about the latest advances in poultry research, science and technology specific to this region.
We look forward to connecting with one of our distribution partners, Jubilant Life Sciences and their customers, while at the event. Jubilant, recognized as the second largest manufacturer of Vitamin B3 in the world, and for its leadership in vitamins for the animal nutrition market, is the exclusive marketing partner of our Xylamax™ and XylaQuick™ products in South Asia.
This is a great time for BRI to expand our presence in the South Asia market. Global demand for poultry is on the rise, and increased profits are expected, particularly in South Asia and India. According to the Investment Information and Credit Rating Agency of India (ICRA), the Indian poultry sector has been growing at around 8-10% annually over the last decade, with broiler meat volumes growing at more than 10%.
