BioResource International, Inc. to Present on the Effects of a Xylanase-Direct-Fed Microbial Feed Additive and a Commercial Coccidiostat in Broiler Performance at IPPE 2019, Atlanta, GA
Research Triangle Park, N.C. – January 24, 2019 – BioResource International, Inc. (BRI), a global biotechnology company specializing in the research, development and manufacture of high-performance enzyme feed additives for optimizing animal nutrition and gut health, will present on the comparative effects of their newest product, EnzaPro™, a combination xylanase-direct-fed microbial feed additive.
Sarah Page, Senior Nutrition Associate at BRI, will present findings on Tuesday, February 12th, at 9:15 a.m. in Room B314 at the International Poultry Scientific Forum at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) 2019 in Atlanta, GA. The study, “Comparative effects of a xylanase-direct-fed microbial feed additive and a commercial coccidiostat on live performance, intestinal and environmental pathogens, and apparent metabolizable energy of broilers fed corn-soy-based diets and challenged with Clostridium perfringens and Eimeria spp.,” was conducted in collaboration with Dr. James McNaughton of AHPharma, Inc. in Hebron, Maryland. The results of the study suggest that EnzaPro™ is an effective solution to limit disease progression, improve energy availability, and improve broiler performance, in addition to being comparable or superior to a commercial anticoccidial in these metrics.
“The control of coccidiosis and enteritis, and their associated impacts on poultry production efficiency, continue to be important targets for the development of innovative solutions that can help improve nutrition, gut health and productivity of food animals,” said Dr. JJ Wang, BRI Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. “With our colleagues at AHPharma, BRI is pleased to present the results of new research in this space at the 2019 International Poultry Scientific Forum.”
