Research Triangle Park, N.C. — July 3, 2018 — BioResource International, Inc. (BRI), a global biotechnology company specializing in the research, development and manufacture of high-performance enzyme feed additives for optimizing animal nutrition and gut health, was selected to present its latest research findings on the effects of its new proprietary xylanase and multi-strain probiotic feed additive, EnzaPro®, on swine at the upcoming American Society of Animal Science (ASAS) and Canadian Society of Animal Science (CSAS) Annual Meeting, July 8 – 12, 2018, in Vancouver, Canada.

Dr. James Tyus, technical services manager for BRI, will present findings of a comprehensive wean-to-finish pig study on Tuesday, July 10, at 11:15 a.m. as part of the conference’s Nonruminant Nutrition I: Feed Additives I session. The study, “Evaluation of graded doses of a xylanase-direct-fed microbial feed additive on live performance, gut health and nutrient digestibility of wean-to-finish pigs,” was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Duong Duy Dong from Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Results from the 125-day trial suggested that supplementation with BRI’s EnzaPro feed solution, a blend of xylanase and multi-strain Bacillus direct-fed microbial, may lower feed costs, improve average daily gain (ADG) and gut health, as well as increase digestibility of key nutrients in swine raised under antibiotic-free production conditions.

“As more and more regions strive to reduce reliance on antibiotic growth promoters (AGPs), BRI works hard to utilize its extensive academic network and research program to provide producers with solutions that help address health issues, as well as improve overall growth while lowering feed costs,” explained JJ Wang, Ph.D., senior vice president and chief technology officer of BRI. “We are excited to present this new data at the upcoming ASAS-CSAS meeting and share our new research with producers and colleagues.
