The North Carolina Biosciences Organization (NCBIO) has named BioResource International, Inc. (BRI) CEO Giles Shih, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors. The announcement was made at the NCBIO 2015 Annual Meeting held October 22 at the NC Biotechnology Center. Giles joins a distinguished group of industry professionals who represent and serve the many facets of the biotechnology industry statewide.
NCBIO (www.ncbioscience.net) is the trade association for North Carolina’s life science community. As a statewide nonprofit advocacy organization, NCBIO works with federal, state and local officials to improve North Carolina’s attractiveness as a location for life science discovery, innovation and commercialization. NCBIO also provides a variety of membership benefits designed to directly support the growth of its member companies and institutions, which are part of the nation’s third largest state biotechnology cluster.
