BioResource International, Inc. to Present Research Findings on Effects of Xylanase Feed Enzyme at the 2017 International Poultry Scientific Forum
Research Triangle Park, N.C. — January 20, 2017—BioResource International, Inc. (BRI), a global biotechnology company specializing in the research, development and manufacture of high-performance enzyme feed additives for optimizing animal nutrition and gut health, announced today that findings from its research study using its xylanase feed additive Xylamax® on broilers will be presented at the 2017 International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF) on Tuesday, January 31 at 8:45 a.m. inside room B-313 of the Georgia World Congress Center.
The study, “Effects of a commercial xylanase supplemented to reduced-energy, corn-soy-based diets on live performance of broilers raised in SE Asia,” was conducted by Takawan Sooksridang, researcher at the Bangkok Animal Research Center Co., in collaboration with BRI researchers and animal nutritionists, Basheer Nusairat, Ph.D., Jeng-Jie Wang, Ph.D., and James Tyus, Ph.D. Results from the 42-day study indicated that xylanase, provided at 15 UX/g of feed, can improve broiler performance in a broad range of dietary ME levels, especially during the finisher phase.
“We are honored to be invited by the International Poultry Science Forum to present our research findings on BRI’s Xylamax xylanase feed additive,” said Giles Shih, Ph.D., chief executive officer at BRI. “For many producers, it can be difficult to manage nutritional needs when dealing with large groups of broilers. It is positive to see that our research showcases Xylamax’s ability to improve broiler performance across such a wide range of dietary levels.”
