Dr. Jeng-Jie “JJ” Wang, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, has more than two decades of experience in molecular biology, enzymology, and fermentation technology, and leads BRI’s biotechnology and animal nutrition research, product development, and fermentation production programs. Having been with BRI since its inception, JJ has been instrumental in drafting grants and commercial contracts that provided the foundation for BRI’s successful startup and subsequent award winning growth. With extensive experience in the Asian marketplace, JJ also oversees the company’s business development initiatives and subsidiaries in the region.
During JJ’s time as a research fellow in the North Carolina State University Poultry Science department, he was crucial in the development of the enzyme technology platform that became the basis for BRI’s first enzyme products, Versazyme® and Valkerase®. He is the primary author on more than 25 industry publications, abstracts and has one issued patent.
JJ has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan and holds a M.S. degree and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from North Carolina State University.
